Tacoma, WA

Sunrise as we drive to the coast!

Commencement

Since the government has shut down national parks, we had to do a little bit of spontaneous changes. Even though we are both so bummed we didn't get to see Olympic and Rainier National Parks, it was a  blessing in disguise because we have been able to spend more time in the latest stops. The day we arrived in Tacoma, Washington the sun came out after being hidden the whole week  before. We had the most beautiful weather the whole weekend. Nick Cochran was so generous with letting us stay with him at his house..got a whole room to ourselves!
Nick, his friend Pete, Brooke and I did so many things in the few days we were there. Saturday we drove out to the Washington coast and Nick and Pete took us surfing. Cant even express how incredible it was. We will never forget commencement, the best pathway through campus for skating...did it only about a thousand times. The last night we were there we went to a look out onto the Sound called Point D, and watched a perfect sunset over the water.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to have had such an amazing weekend with Nick and Pete, they definitely made a mark on our trip.
